Oh really???!!! When you're told that your child has a Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer, then you can tell me how I should act!!!!! I should be more polite????? Stay the same jolly person I was???? Are you kidding me???!!!! Have you ever been told that your child has a 65% survival rate???? Huh, have you???? Have you ever been told that your child has stage 3 cancer? And he's only 3? No? Then don't you EVER, EVER tell me how I should act, you don't have the right. One more person and my Christianity is going to disappear and I'm gonna cuss them out. People are explaining heaven and he'll to me!!!!! I already know this stuff!!! I just want to say shut the hell up! Is that polite enough for you?

Ever Need a Break?
Seriously I needed one today. It has just been one of those days where you feel so much pressure. I just wanted to go into the basement to scream at the top of my lungs to release some and I honestly would've but I didn't want to scare my babies either so I just held it in. But seriously I need a break. I need a spa day or something, or a date with the hubby would be really nice right now. Just thinking out loud...

I just don't know...
Have you ever been at a crossroads? A place where you need to make really tough decisions but you really don't know which is the right decision? And you're praying about it but it really doesn't seem like an answer is coming? And you want to consult a friend for Godly counsel but none of your friends have been where you are and talking to people who aren't there or haven't been there just doesn't help... What do you do?
I'm in that situation right now and I really don't have a clue what to do. Some will say "wait on the Lord" and I agree with that but what to do in the meantime because in every situation I can't just sit and do nothing. As you can see I'm not going to go into detail about the situation. I would like to but it involves more than just myself and to be honest with you I'm really not seeking advice from anyone on the situation until I find someone in a similar situation. It's like if someone loses their mother, it's nice to give condolences but true understanding can only come from someone who's been there.
Since I've been praying on this I've ran into many people in this situation that I've met in bathrooms or out and about. And you know how we women are we just get to talking and tell our life stories within 5 minutes :-) and in the midst of these conversations I feel God may not be answering my prayer just yet. But then it does seem like He's comforting me. Telling me through these strangers that it's going to be ok in the end. If it's not God then I don't know what or who it is because it's been too weird the run ins I've been having with people lately. Out of the blue they're talking to me about something I'm going through and these people don't even know it. They may or may not be Christians but God has used these run ins in my life and they've come at times when I was at my lowest. Now again I'm waiting.
Lord I really really need your help and guidance, Thank you so much for the strangers I've met lately. Thank you for a supportive husband and two wonderful children. Have you told me what to do and I'm just missing it? If so please tell me again. I want to make the right decisions but I just want to know what do I do, because I really don't know anymore...

Manicures
So I was in Walmart the other day and working at the checkout was a muscular guy. His arms were totally tattooed and as I recall he looked ok but as he handed me my receipt I noticed his nails were freshly "done."
He didn't have French tips or anything but the were shaped neat, kind of medium in length with clear nail polish. Eww. But I've been seeing this a lot lately and I'm wondering if this is a new trend.
My husband works in an office setting and it's very sexy to see him getting out of the car, cleancut, with laptop bag in hand. It's even more sexy to see him come in covered in grease after working under the car. But that's just my opinion.
I love clean nails on a man but polished and manicured? I couldn't imagine sitting next to Sam at a nail salon. So I thought I'd try to keep this question/answer session light this time.
The question is this: are manicured hands on a man a turn on or turn off? I'm not necessarily talking about length (although I do feel there should be a limit there as well) just the shiny polished nails.
As always feel free to pass this along. There's no right or wrong answer. You can comment on my blog or email me directly at LaToya_Murry@hotmail.com

Independent Part 2
First of all I really want to thank everyone who emailed me to weigh in on this subject. I didn't get any responses from guys. If I do then I'll add them later but the women really weighed in and I'll share some of those comments anonymously like promised.
And a lot of you put me in the hot seat telling me to answer my own question which I will do :-)
First of all I'll let you know where this topic came to mind. I just saw "Hell Date" for the first time not too long ago. LOL my cousin already informed me that this show is old and has been on for awhile, but I just heard of it and watched it on Joost.com. One thing that stood out to me though is when a woman was about to go out on a date she usually said something like "I'm an independent woman." And that just struck me as a funny way to describe oneself because I automatically take independent as meaning single, and since they're on the show to get a date why use that term, that's obvious to me. Then I heard one guy saying he wanted an independent woman so I said maybe there's more to this term then I realize and decided to open it up for discussion.
So here's my own answers to my questions:
1. What is an independent woman in your definition? (don't look up the definition to copy paste nothing either and please don't look it up to get ideas). A woman who is currently single. She stands independently and pays her own bills and takes care of herself. She doesn't answer to anyone. You'll notice the song I added above. I honestly think it only applies to single non married women.
2. Would you like to be with an independent man or a man that tells you he's independent? If a man is single then it's obvious he's independent or at least should be. So if he's spouting he's independent then I'd question if he would be good in a relationship. There's nothing wrong with him being independent when I meet him but as the relationship progresses and if were to ever get to the marriage point then I wouldn't want someone who's bent on staying independent. I'd feel if he wants to continue making his own decisions independently then he doesn't need me. Not saying he can't make them but in a marriage I believe in making most decisions jointly. (LOL now if he wants to buy a snapple I don't think we need to discuss what flavor)
3. Should you still be considered independent if you are married? No I believe married couples should be interdependent. If you have to stand on your own one day (after your spouse dies) only then you should become independent. Until then in a marriage I'd suggest depending on each other.
4. And is this a turn off or turn on for men? (I'd better not be seeing women answering this either LOL) I'm a woman not a man so I'd have to ask one:-)
I'll have more questions/answers in the coming months for you guys to participate in. I really appreciate everyone's answers and honesty. And everyone who wrote me is either a close friend or relative and I have much love and respect for all of you. As promised I'm going to post your comments in my comments section below (BOTTOM RIGHT click on COMMENTS). I don't want to open a can of worms of arguing. You have to remember these are all people's personal opinions and I won't let my comment section be used as a means to berate or belittle someone else as we all come from different backgrounds and experiences which may influence our answers. Nor will I provide you with the email addresses of someone you may disagree with :-)

Independent
Ok I'm not slamming the term but I'm wondering what do people mean when they say "I'm an independent woman."
I'm not against the saying per se, however, I notice a lot of women throw that around. And I looked up independent in the dictionary and it actually has several meanings.
So my questions are:
1. What is an independent woman in your definition? (don't look up the definition to copy paste nothing either and please don't look it up to get ideas)
2. Would you like to be with an independent man or a man that tells you he's independent?
3. Should you still be considered independent if you are married?
4. And is this a turn off or turn on for men? (I'd better not be seeing women answering this either LOL)
You can comment here or email me directly (LaToya_Murry@hotmail.com), but I'm curious. Feel free to send this link to as many people as you want to weigh in. I'll post my opinion next time along with your thoughts (what men say vs what the women say). Oh and everyone will remain anonymous.
